Personal Statement

If I have been able to see further, it was only because I stood on the shoulders of giants.
Isaac Newton on his intellectual debt to those who preceded him.

I owe the majority of my success to the mentors and leaders that I have been able to observe over the last 30 years of my life. Their knowledge and guidance have been beyond any financial compensation could provide. To take another person by the hand and walk them through the good and bad of life is priceless. It is with the example set before me that I hope to bring the same to you.

In 2006, I founded a small organization of successful business executives to begin mentoring an exclusive group of up-and-coming individuals. They were chosen because of their passion and drive, not because of their finances, project or business, nor anything that an investment banker would really consider. We chose these people because they had the internal makings of a great leader, and entrepreneur if provided the correct tools.

With those simple beginnings, we have taken the opportunity to coach and mentor a dozen or so individuals and help them carve out a bigger piece of the American dream. We do this via a one-to-one mentoring setting, and eventually making our visits less often formally and more occasionally. Then we ask them to provide referral of their own to someone they would love to see find the same sort of success. And so the process repeats.

I work for both profit and at no charge. And our hope is to help raise up the next generation of business leaders.

What is my key to success: it’s less about what you know, and more about WHO you know.
